Earthquake Risk Hunt Training

Spot Earthquake Hazards Before the Shaking Starts

Turn earthquake awareness into real hazard recognition with an immersive VR “risk hunt” inside realistic spaces

What is Earthquake Risk Hunt Training?

This is hands-on hazard recognition practice, not a checklist shared in a PDF!

RoT STUDIO’s Earthquake Risk Hunt Training is a VR-based learning module that teaches people to notice and eliminate earthquake hazards in everyday environments.

Participants enter a realistic space and complete a guided risk hunt: they identify unsafe items, poor placements, blocked routes, and actions that could cause injury, panic, or evacuation delays during and right after an earthquake.

Instead of only knowing what to do, learners build the habit of seeing risk early, so safer behavior happens automatically when it matters most.

Ideal for earthquake preparedness programs, workplace safety training, community awareness projects, and school-based preparedness.

Whis This Matters Now?

In an earthquake, the danger often isn’t only the shaking, it’s what happens inside the space: falling objects, blocked exits, tripping hazards, and poor preparedness decisions made under stress.

And in a real event, seconds can mean injuries, trapped routes, and avoidable losses.

Traditional earthquake training explains rules, but often fails to create real-world scanning behavior. Without realistic practice, people commonly:

Traditional Earthquake Training:

❌ Mostly presentation-based and passive

⚠️ People understand concepts but don’t build hazard-spotting reflexes

💤 Low engagement → fast knowledge decay

👥 One-size-fits-all examples that don’t match real spaces

⏳ No safe way to experience the impact of missed hazards

Earthquake Training in Virtual Reality:

✅ Scenario-based “risk hunt” in realistic environments

👀 Identify hazards that cause injury or delayed evacuation

🎯 Immediate feedback on what was missed — and why it matters

🔁 Repeat safely until scanning becomes a habit

📊 Optional measurement of performance and common risk patterns

How It Works?

Simple ●  Practical  ● Repeatable

null

Step into VR

Learners enter a realistic environment where earthquake hazards are intentionally placed across daily life zones

Earthquake Risk Hunt Training

Hunt for Hazards

Participants scan the space to find risks like unsecured furniture, falling objects, blocked exits, tripping hazards, unsafe storage, and emergency obstacles

null

Make Safer Choices

Users learn what to fix and what to prioritize, building decision-making that prevents injury and panic

null

Review & Improve

A results-based review highlights what was missed and reinforces safer behavior with repeatable practice

Key Benefits

Real earthquake preparedness outcomes your organization needs

Build Real Hazard Recognition

People don’t just know earthquake safety, they learn to spot the risks that cause injuries and blocked routes

Train without Disrupting Daily Life

No drills that disrupt operations, no physical rearrangements, training happens safely in VR

Increase Readiness Across Groups

Standardized scenarios create a shared safety baseline across teams, schools, communities, or facilities.

Stronger Retention Through Practice

Interactive decision-making and repetition improves recall compared to one-time awareness sessions

Skills Your Team Will Gain

🔍 Hazard identification in earthquake-prone environments

🚪 Exit route awareness and evacuation-readiness scanning

🧠 Prioritizing what to secure first (high-impact risks)

✅ Practical preparedness habits (not just knowledge)

🚨 Better decision-making under stress
