Ophthalmic Surgery Simulator
What is Ophthalmology Simulator?
Precise suturing techniques during corneal transplantation and correct adjustment of intraocular pressure in glaucoma surgery are situations that require high skill and attention. Animal eyes, cadaveric and synthetic eye models used in ophthalmic surgery training cannot provide sufficient continuity due to procurement difficulties and ethical constraints.
Thanks to our ophthalmology simulator, we offer an interactive training system designed to simulate ophthalmic surgical procedures in a virtual reality (VR) environment. The primary objective of this simulator is to enhance the training experience for assistant doctors and medical students by offering an immersive platform for practicing complex surgical procedures, such as corneal transplantation and glaucoma surgery as well as the pre-op protocols and patient assessments to prepare ophthalmologists.

SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The ophthalmology simulator system consists of two main components: hardware and software. The hardware includes haptic devices that simulate surgical instruments and a foot pedal that controls the virtual microscope. The software contains training modules, visualization tools, and haptic feedback systems that enable users to experience and interact with a realistic surgical environment.
Together, these components provide a hands-on training experience for ophthalmic surgeries, allowing users to practice surgical techniques in a virtual reality (VR) setting.
